Help with BEEPING!!! - Page 2

Reapplied the tp and now I'm sitting at 37c CPU and 39c MB after a few mins of looking around the net. I'm hoping that was the problem but I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'm gonna hold off on putting the cc lights back in until I know the temps are gonna stay down. Thanks for all the help so far and if anyone has any other input please share it just incase the problem comes back.

In Asus Probe, what are your temp thresholds set at for your cpu and motherboard?

Change your motherboard threshold to 55c and you should not get that warning at all (Could have been the cause of your beeps as well). These Asus boards run on the warm side so setting it to 55c (still safe) will help even when working with a full load.

I have a very similar setup and my threshold setting in Probe are:
Cpu = 50c
Mobo = 55c

The temp probe for the mobo (southbridge) is very close to the graphics cards which causes even warmer temps. I even setup a 120mm fan inside my case (blowing toward the gpu's and southbridge) and brought down temps really nice, even lowered my cpu temp alittle and helps bigtime in cooling the graphics cards as well.

Before adding fan:
Cpu idle = 34c
Mobo idle = 42c

120mm fan added:
Cpu idle = 32c
Mobo idle = 34c (8c difference in mobo idle temp with fan added.)

Obviously helps with load temps as well .

Does it make any difference that my mb mounts upside down in my case??? I should have plenty of cooling in the case (Silverstone TJ06) with a 120mm front intake, 120 mm exhaust with the windtunnel connecting the two and going right across the middle of my mb. Also have an 80mm front intake, then a pci exhaust fan on the bottom side of my gfx card, and my psu has 2 80 mm (one pulling from in the case and the other exhaust out the back). I have alot of room in this case so there isn't anything restricting air flow.

Did you adjust the warnning setting as Dad_of_3 suggested... seems on target!
You seem to have the air flow in your case down pat!

If you have your mobo temp down to 39c ( i do not know your load temp though ) thats perfectly fine. You want to change your mobo threshold in Asus Probe like i suggested to stop getting the warning.

If you want to get even lower mobo temps i included a picture of the area you want to get cooler.

You should be fine with your current temps as they are though.
