Xp Logon - Page 2

I have my account set up with a password, but I am using a utility called Tweak UI (for Win XP) to automatically log on. Tweak UI is from MS, but unsupported. It works fine for me!

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx

Good luck

Start -> Run -> type in "control userpasswords2" (no quotes). UnCheck the box that says "users must enter a password to log in". Hit OK. Fill in your username and password at the box that pops up.

Do what is said above. But you should always have a password as it really boosts security not just for people using the computer publicly but also from remote hackers.

Exactly. I have a password on my account, but have it automatically log in.

I just lock my computer when I leave (WindowsKey + L)

I'm not too bothered about hackers, they'll have to get through my linux firewall first.

If you dont have a password on your account, then dont enter one when you do the "control userpasswords2" thing.
