Thank you Chozart, I will try using that utility and repost the info. Thank you!

Also, flashing your BIOS might help, it helped me with my dell but im not to sure how different gateways and dells are.

If all else fails, get 2 sticks of 512, that should work.

Your actual operating frequency is 200mhz because DDR ram is triggered by the rising and falling edges of the system clock. (200mhz triggered twice per clock cycle is DDR400) You'll also want to note that those are CAS 3.0 at 200 mhz, so remember that. It's important to know. Now that we know the timings of your old sticks, can you post 1 more screenshot, but this time showing the voltage of your ram with CPU-Z?

I was looking for the stock voltage of your old ram, but forget that for now. Last piece of information I need is on your new stick. Can you provide me with the model number or a link from where you got it? I need to find the stock timings/voltage on that, but we can't use CPU-Z since you're having problems getting it to boot.

So you have an Intel D915GAG motherboard. This is Intel's information about the supported memory
http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/ag/ag_mem.htm

As sccr64472 stated, please give us brand and model number of the 1GB stick you got. Or maybe a link.

Intel states the following:
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.

Maybe the last sentence might be your problem, which we can check once we know what kind of memory you have.
