I just realized that the RAM IS INDEED TWO SIDED! I just looked at it and the chips are on both sides! OH MAN! If there are any other suggestions, please send them my way...

Try to sell that ram, and buy 2 sticks of 512 from www.crucial.com or use their scanner ( www.crucial.com/systemscanner/ ) to see what type is supported, then look for that on newegg.

Good luck.

Double sided is ok, but what's not ok is the fact that the stick has 16 total ICs on it Before you buy any new ram, make sure you look at what voltage it needs and also that it matches your old ram and timings. If it were me, I'd sell your old ram with the 1 gb stick. Not only are you losing dual channel running 3 sticks, but your old ram is CAS 3.0

Thanks so much guys! I feel better now that I know what the problem was. All of your comments were very helpful, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I wish I knew enough to help you all out but it seems that you know enough and wouldn't need help haha Thanks again!

Certain double sided sticks are compatible with your motherboard, however, this specific stick is NOT. Sorry about that. The vendor stated that this stick is compatible with certain VIA and SIS chipsets. Since yours is Intel, no luck unfortunately.

It seems, however, the vendor will let you RMA it. Check the return policy, and follow the RMA link. You will loose your shipping costs however.

I recommend memory like this: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail (I checked compatibility on the Corsair website).
On Newegg, this costs $72 + $4.81 shipping.

Good luck
