When does FPS not matter anymore?

Thread Starter
Lets say you have a graphics card that is playing games at the max settings.

At what point do you stop noticing increases in FPS in the game? Does it matter if you go from 40 to 50 as an example?

At what point does the average mortal not notice FPS increases anymore?

60+ is the rule. Most people only have 60hz monitors anyways.

i, in most games except GTA 4 and Metro 2033, cant notice anything above around 30-35 frames but in GTA 4 and Metro 2033 its seems to lag even at 40 frames which is odd

So anything above 30 in most games and im happy

After 60 is when you usually notice less, after 120 is when I'm convinced it'll make no difference to your eyes.

For me it is around 45FPS. It really varies though with person to person as some say 25FPS is very playable and others need 60+

FPS always matter, it can prolong the time at which you are required to upgrade
