XG cases sidewinder or viper?

Thread Starter
Hey all, just wondering which case i should get. the sidewinder or the viper case. i know the sidwewinder is an older case but i am planning on doing a couple of mods to it, such as an extraction fan at top and ducting the side panel fans. also have a 120mm fan for rear extraction ready to go into it if i get the case. the viper i know comes with a 500watt and it looks really gnarly it also has an lcd on the front and top usb ports. I am not too concerned about the lcd as i have the g15 keyboard and all my info is on that.
What are peoples opinions on the cases? any positive/negative comments would be great as i have already put an order through for the sidewinder, but i might change it after the easter break and get the viper instead.

http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/cas...ases/xg/sidew/ is for the sidewinder
http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/cas...ases/xg/viper/ for the viper

At the moment i have put the order through scorpion technologies www.scorptec.com.au for the sidweinder case but i am not sure if/when i am going to get it as they are not even advertising the case as an order anymore. they still have the viper case so i am not sure.

As for choice i am still torn between the two. i am leaning more towards the sidewinder case as i feel that there will be more modding options but i am stil l eyeing off the viper case if my order for the sidewinder gets screwed around.

Can anyone tell me if the Viper case has the option to put a 120mm fan on the back without modding it? I know it supports up to 2 80mm fans, just curious?

I have a first gen viper and you can out a 120mm in the front and back with an 80mm in the side.
There are also vents on the top for more intake air.

I like it and it has loads of room and great air flow.

I was looking at the viper 2 but I had to convince my fiancee to let me get the viper 1 which is about $60 aus more than the sidewinder i had ordered. I should hopefully get the case either today or tomorrow.

Also one other quick question...from what I have been reading in the forums you want more air to escape the case then get blown in. True? Also would it be better, until I get another 120mm fan should I have the fans setup with 120mm back/extraction and 80mm front intake? or other way round?
