Yes, that is very annoying.

Jumping to make a quick buck? Seriously? Of all games out right now, including those that have some sort of micro-transactions, TF2 is the ONLY one that has even bothered being worth every single penny. It was released in '07 in one of the most amazing game bundles to hit the PC in years, to say that the orange box was a good deal is an understatement. TF2 has had some where around 120 FREE updates (FREE in a time where every other publisher/ dev. is charging for DLC or even charging to unlock crap thats was shipped already on the game), not to mention the free items they would give you as an incentive to buy good games (especially when you where planing on buying them to begin with). I'm sorry but for those of you who are complaining about a 3 year old game trying to make some money after countless free updates/ items is just ridiculous. Its as if you guys are saying "How dare they give me the option to buy something! Even though I don't have to buy a single thing to actually get any of the items in game (minus keys) the option being there is INSULTING! Valve is money hungry and crooked and have ruined this game because a developer who has put so much time and money into releasing so many free updates doesn't deserve to try and recoup any money from people who are willing to pay."

I'll go ahead and ask this one more time: Other than people spamming whats changed? Buying items doesn't give anyone an advantage over those who decide not to, your odds of getting something good in a drop hasn't change, crafting items is still the same, gameplay (which was changed from vanilla with the class updates) hasn't changed. So what is it? Whats so game breaking about this update? Are those of you complaining about the game even playing it? I wonder how many people calling valve a sell out or saying TF2 is ruined even own the game.

Also, neobloodline, this is nothing personal, I don't mean to sound as if I'm singling you out, this whole post is pretty much a rant because I just don't get what the big deal is.

The game has been out for several years and is still a fun play. So they've changed things up. How many games, that cost as little as TF2, continue to receive major updates 3+ years after release, FOR FREE?!

Not many.

So you can buy stuff now, big effing deal. You can also pick those same items up within the game by PLAYING IT. So what's all the sniveling about?

And seriously, some people expect the game to run on minimalistic hardware still? It's 2010, and a lot of games won't run great on minimalist hardware. Radeon 4550's? Integrated Graphics? C'mon now. You've got to be kidding.
