Bad OC need Advice - Page 2

i know its an overclocking forum but here my advice.

if a pc got made with 2.7 its not for you push it to 4.5 i know i know any one is doing it but if you guess keeping this pc running all day 10 years of time you better remove 5 years life time with an overclocking it will give you average for now but gonna cost you a new pc more sooner and yes you can overclock realy high but you will see result realy fast too.

get a water cooling first of all it would be a good start.

The only thing that kills your pc is voltage. And the only way it would take off 5 years is if you went way over...

And it's a wonder that you only have 10 rep

scotishhaggis, on my value ram i was only able to get a 300 Mhz overclock on my 3200+. After I upgraded to the G.SKILL Extreme, I am at 2.5Ghz prime stable working on getting 2.6 stable. I suggest just finding a low stable OC and wait till you can upgrade to a Big Typhoon and some performance ram, then have at it.

UMMMM...AMD don't overclock...damn....then why does AMD totally dominate Intel in ALL benchmarks...even this 4400+ dual-core is doin 400 Mhz over and all I did was up the mem speed and clock speed...haven't even touched the timings yet and it's still at 39 celcius fully loaded...haven't upped the voltages any yet either...I've heard of ppl being an Intel fan...but to tell someone that AMD's won't OC.....better wake up...cause your on the wrong side of the tracks...TY
