Seriously, get a corsair power supply, because the one included is probably crap.
especially if you ever overclock.

i5 750- hyperthreading is a bit overrated. i5 750 usually breaks 4ghz no sweat.

the motherboard isnt bad, but since you are going to use a gpu. mind as well go with p55 instead of h55
This, although I don't think the performance improvements of the 256-bit 1GB version of the GTX 460 outweighs the large cost difference between it and its very capable 192-bit 768MB version. You can get the lesser version for $149 shipped after a $25 MIR. Hard to pass that up. The beefier 1GB version offers only a 10-20% improvement in games (even at 1920x1200), but for 40% more money. I'll let Mr. Cochran explain...

For video cards, I always recommend getting what you need now, and upgrading every 18-24 months. Way more cost effective than trying to "future proof" yourself.

If you want USB 3.0 support, get a MSI P55A-GD55 P55
Otherwise that's good

Hmm, I actually might get that. Is the OC Genie any good?
Grab the 15 750. if you plan to overclock then there isnt really a justification to spend more when the i5 750 and i5 760 can reach the same clocks regardless.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-061-_-Product
grab this case for ability to use cable management holes. better than antec 900 in purely functional aspect.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...E16817341017\\
then you can grab this psu. better then the bundle that comes with the antec 900.

OC genie is just for the lazy overclockers, its a simple way to get overclocks on the cpu, but you can expect that your cpu temperature will be higher due to the process uses more volts then need to get a certain core clock.

I will just stick with the case and PSU for now. But I will get the i7 750
post #29 of 36
I was just making a suggestion because with that case and psu the wiring will be super cluttered.

Not many of us like to have cluttered cases due to poor airflow = higher temperatures. higher temperature + overclocking = headaches and bad news for us.

Forgot to mention
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065
great budget heatsink for mild overclocks.

Not sure about OC genie, but it obviously not for hardcore overclockers. Luckily i'm not one of them
