Not many of us like to have cluttered cases due to poor airflow = higher temperatures. higher temperature + overclocking = headaches and bad news for us.

Forgot to mention

great budget heatsink for mild overclocks.
Alright, I was just about to ask about that. So, is it way better than the stock?

yes!

I mean think of it this way, you're about to drop $900+ on a system. Adding a $35 cooler (4% more money) will allow you to make your CPU go 50% faster with very little trouble. Getting a max overclock on your CPU takes time, effort, and knowledge. Getting to about 75 or 80% of your max overclock requires about 1 or 2 hours of tinkering and asking us questions (in a different thread mind you). So, why not?

Everything is way better than stock.

Lets just take a gander and say you will have minimum problems reaching 3.5ghz while keeping your temperature below 75c. Most people are able to get to 4ghz with an extra fan using a push and pull setup.

http://blog.corsair.com/wp-content/u...pull-image.png
example of push and pull, one fan pushes the air one fan pulls.

However the fans included in the hyper 212+, is pretty weak, but i am assuming it should do the job for your needs. Since you don't give me the impression you are planing to reach 4ghz.

How far could I overclock with the hyper 212+?

If you can spend some bucks more then get a 470.

As i mentioned before you wont see much problems reaching a 3.5ghz clock while keeping your temps below 80c at load. Using a hyper 212+. However best air cooler going to be on the market is thermalright silver arrow msrp at $90. With that i say for sure you can reach a clock of 4ghz.

For above and beyond if you want to go past 4ghz then water cooling is the only route. The kit i listed below has one of the best cpu blocks, radiator/pump is ok. But for the price its a great buy.

Anyways there are a lot of information on the forum so feel free to do a quick search for your answers.
