Althon 64 3800+ overclocking help.

Thread Starter
I currently have a Althon 64 3800+ and it runs at factory 2.4 Ghz with factory cooling stock/fan.

Now how much of a overclock you guys think i could get with this factory stock on?

Download Sis Sandra suite benchmarking software 2005 and monitor the temperature of the board and cpu core from there (this will be very acurate depending on weather Sis Sandra detects your motherboard)

according to the AMD compare weby the 3800 has a thermal shutdown of 71c so dont let it get above 65 max (dont worry it's have auto thottoling with should stop for cpu flying if somthing goes wrong)

Keep pushing.

Mind you to be fair you can get a Artic Cooling freezer Pro for £18 from WWW.overclockers.com and that cools really well and its much quieter too.
