Sli.jpg

I had to go with watercooling my gtx 480s because only the top 2 slots run at 16x in SLI. I heard there really is not much of a difference but i wanted it maxed out. On air, the top card was getting suffocated since they were almost touching. Top slot and 3rd slots run at 16x and 8x respectively.

Hi smile.gif
As I'm running Sandy Bridge, I only get 8x 8x in SLi wink.gif
But is seems that I could run at 4x and still not notice any real difference!

crysis_2560_1600.gif

Oh, and I've been playing "The Witcher 2" fully maxed out! And my hottest card gets to 75c cool.gif

Ahh I gotcha. Its very true. The 16x doesn't really matter. It seems like 8x is all these cards can handle as it is. You should watercool smile.gif My cards don't go above 45c under hours of maxed out gaming. 75c is really good on air with sli however.

smile.gif I could go W'Cooling but, I went DF-85 and Accelero XTREME Plus GPU cooling for close to the best Air cooling solution out there!
And Running two GTX480s certainly tests the DF-85s claim to be one of the best air flow cases yessir.gif

smile.gif It's not like you need to rush, having the 1200 cool.gif
But yeah, the hot swap bays are nice. And the easy clean of the filters does give it the edge i suppose smile.gif

Also, you can use 2.5 SSDs with the internal hot swap 3.5" bays cool.gif
Just plug them in, and they get supported one side!

Me, I have a few HDDs sat about. That I swap out my drives that have different OS's on smile.gif

So yeah, the DF-85 is good for those of us that like to "mess about all the time"!
And for us that run Space-heaters for GPUs biggrin.gif

Im thinking about taking a Dremel to the case cover of my df85 and getting rid of the black strip that holds the windows in place and making it one giant opening. Then I thought about putting a large piece of acrylic in its place. I think the 85 would look better that way, especially when im trying to show off the water cooling smile.gif

Yea this is why i like the SSD option and not only that, the easy filter cleaning method. Don't get me wrong i love my case but i hate unscrewing and screwing it back lol. When you can just switch a flick and clean the filters in no time. Is the whole case hard metal like the 1200 or is it weaker than the 1200? I always wondered. I wish i can get a look at it in person to see if the whole thing is worth it.
