Damn, this thread is as dead as a doornail. Still, it's better than 78@pwnt4lif3 telling us all the time how crappy our cases are organised and demand we fix them.
You really need to respect members of OCN and read the rules also i feel very offended with your comment. I wasn't telling anyone to do cable management and i was merely suggesting it. Seriously don't be bashing threads like this and cable management is a very important method when it comes to airflow pressure even if you're water custom cooling anyways. Besides it makes your case look nicer and tidy. Also spelling organised is wrong. It's spelled organized. Maybe you're canadian but meh. I can visit this forum anytime and state my own opinion as well as you can too. Ain't gonna stop me from posting threads.

I do respect members of OCN, I just question those who join clubs exclusively for those who own a certain piece of hardware and try to tell them what to do with it. I'm sorry that you feel offended, but it's the honest truth.

Considering that you criticise someone's build every time they post an image I get the feeling that you have some sort of obsession with tidiness. I have the same sort of thing happen to me quite often but unless there is a fatal flaw, I usually don't worry about it. Ignorance is bliss, right?

It's called being Australian. And I never said you couldn't post your opinions because that's what I've been doing. My opinion is that you shouldn't post in a thread (or much less criticise cable management) about Dark Fleet cases when you don't even own one. That's just my opinion.

I'm not stranger to internet forums (look me up on The Escapist sometime) and granted, I could afford to have been much more cordial but like you, I'm just expressing my opinion.

Let's just leave it at that, shall we?
That feels like an assertive post, 78@pwnt4lif3's post that is.

But it's true, cable management is important for many cases that require airflow, but then there's the assertion in slamming the fact that "you HAVE to do it".

Anyways, chill the steam and let me in the club, DF-85 owner here. smile.gif

Would really love to hear about your cooling setup, in detail. It looks like you have the radiator mounted beneath the 2 top fans, was any modding needed? And It looks like you had to take out the top rear fan, was that to fit in the radiator?

On a side note, does anyone know if you replace a case fan, will the speed controls work still? At least on fans that are built to have multiple levels of speed? Or did Antec make the whole thing proprietary somehow? thanks.

I am torn between an Antec 1200 version 3 but the more i keep looking at Dark Fleet it has it's promises but do you guys ever had broken drive cages? I heard the fans are very fragile on the edge of the cage when you open them and they are prone to breakage?

I keep thinking a Steel case would be much better than a broken plastic part?

Dude, I'd buy a DF-85 tomorrow, if I didn't already have one smile.gif
Nothing on mine has broken! You just have to open the doors by sort of squeezing the door!
And the bay covers, are easy to open with one hand too!
Nothing is weak about the case IMO! It's more about "not just ripping the doors/covers open" that makes the difference I'd say.

I totally recommend the DF-85 thumb.gif
If you like the style, that is smile.gif

Mine keeps my two GTX480s cool, and I only ever run my case fans on low!
And I haven't added the optional side fan, because I don't need it smile.gif

Have you read reviews? They got a lot of broken cases via UPS.

However i heard you need at least a couple of molex coverters because the fans have 3 pins and not every motherboard is gonna fit them all.
The case has seven fans so far i know off and if your psu has enough cables then you should be fine to use'em as long you have extra molex converters so i may as well need 7 of them in case which sucks.

I do like the Antec 1200 V3 cuz i have the older versions that were recalled back lol.

However steel lasts long but still unsure on the DF but i might like it.

Also has anyone done H100 on it or H80? Any problems fitting? Airflow?
BTW you said by squeezing the door? You mean switching the knob inside the case to unlock the front panel. Why would i wanna YANK it off? I need to switch the knob to open it. Next time explain it better so other ppl might get the wrong idea lol if they had a DF. Any muppet should read the manual before doing anything lol.

I'd use the side fan if i had a choice too but that's just me. Or a Window mod instead of having a side fan if i am water cooling.

How are the temps and airflow in the case? The only thing i admire in the DF is the switch to open to clean filters. Man saves time and fast!
