Refresh rate doessn't matter with lcds.. but in general the highest you can go the better.

refresh rate matters for any type of monitor...LCD or not...the higher the better, lower can cause strain on your eyes.

The higher you go namely 75hz the better it is for your eyes but with LCDS it really doesnt matter but for higher FPS in games you sould have it at 75hz if you have vsync on as it will Cap your FPS at your Screen refresh rate. So in other word running at 75hz with vsync enabled you will only be able to get 75 FPS at max.

so you think if i turn off vsync in my games ill go higher than 75+ fps? lol, if i turn off vsync will it look bad?

With Vsync off you can get tearing of the picture. having Vsync on can cause a very minor decrease in performance, but generally its worth it to stop tearing.

I have never used vsync because I hate the fps cap and have never noticed tearing.
