Yup, that makes sense... I've been feeling dumb today.

keep your current bios and see how good you do. The guys over at dfi seem to think that the middle bios version (forgot the version exactly) is better for overclocking. I followed and learned a ton from their lengthy faq for the dfi boards.

Well, up and running with Windows installed. Don't have it running on the internet yet, though. Here's some info so far:

CPU Speed: 2805MHz (255 * 11)
vCore: 1.4v
RAM Speed: 255MHz
vDIMM:3.5v
Timings: 2-2-2-5 (Gotta love BH-5 )
Idle Temp: 35
Load Temp: 43

Now for my 7600GT:
Core Speed: 605MHz
Mem speed: 805*2 = 1610MHz
OCed with: Coolbits

Benchmarks:
SuperPi 1M time: 29.906s
AM3: 86,640
3DMark03: 13,987

More coming soon.

Update: Just hit 2.9GHz! Still 1.4v, still running RAM 1 to 1 at 2-2-2-5. I love this stuff! Running memtest right now.

Edit: Bah, got errors at 265, set a 9/10 divider.

What is the most that anyone has heard or done with OC on an 64 x2 3800+ Manchester?

Nice going Namrac! I bet you can almost taste the sweet stench of the 3GHz breathing down your neck...

Have you tried higher than 1.52V? Give her a little bit more juice to find out her limit.

I've had as high as about 3.1, but windows crashed after a few minutes.

And it's OCCT stable, and Prime95 ran for about an hour before I shut it down.
