Best Gaming LCD? - Page 4

I see this thread has been slightly raised from the dead, but I got a question about this BenQ 2ms 19" LCD anyway ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824014111 )

Its specs are almost identicle to the Viewsonic VX922, but has a 300 brightness over the Viewsonics 270 brightness and costs $40 less. Viewing angles aren't quite as good, but that doesn't really matter to me. So, what's your opinion on this?

The vx922 has more options like two DVI connectors.

The vx922 has more options like two DVI connectors, but I would go with a more known brand. Maybe you can be our tester and tell us how it goes

VX922 gets my vote, why? Well I DID buy one after doing months of research and I love it to death, I'm using it right now and its brightness, contrast, colors and ofcourse that 2ms response time are simply stunning. That and its a pretty high quality monitor besides its specs, too bad its not height adjustable like my other Viewsonic (VP191b) but that one's image is far inferior, with light and dark spots, its very uneven but the VX922 is completely even throughout the whole screen as far as brightness goes, also its 2ms gray to gray AND 2ms black-white-black which is the best available.

i've had a Dell 2005FPW since October of last year and mine hasn't gone bad. no dead pixels, ghosting or backlighting issues.

here's one of the reviews i used to make my decision.

here's an OC thread regarding gaming LCDs.

i am one to not care too much about brand names for small things, but im all about brand names for things like monitors cuz there can be HUGE quality differences IMO
i was wondering if anyone else feels the same

i mean, i've seen like 2 BenQ bumps in this thread, and the rest are viewsonic, samsung pretty much

im looking for a 19", preferable widescreen monitor for gaming and deskop use in the <300$ CAN range

i saw these three and wondered how you guys would compare them

the acer really caught my eye cuz its a decently priced widescreen with ok specs. how much of an issue would you guys think light leak from the back and slight colour-non-uniformity are?
this review sees those as the main drawbacks from the acer
http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Ha...s/aceral1916w/

and for 250$ CAN , its really tempting, but if im gunna be disapointed, obviously its not worth it

I would go with the first one since I don't like widescreen, but I would go with the 3rd option for widescreen since its pixel pitch is better.
