New rig. Need some suggestions

Thread Starter
Well Im getting fed up with 30 FPS in CS:S and very slow video editing. Im thinking about just going out and buying some new stuff and building a computer. I need something that will get some good FPS in more of the high end games out today. This would be my first time building one so I need some suggestions. Here is what Im thinking about getting.

System
AMD X2 4400+
2x 1 GB RAM
1x eVGA Geforce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card( gonna go 2 after I get mo money )
ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard
Thermaltake Big Water SE Liquid Cooling
SILVERSTONE SST-ST60F 600W Power Supply

Now Im still looking for a good case and a good set of 1 gb sticks of ram for that set up so far. Also looking for a nice 19" LCD monitor that is budget wise and will also look slick and put out a nice picture. Im also planning on going SLI for even better graphics but Im going to wait till I got the money to spend before blowing what I got.

Any suggestions you guys could give me?

To be honest I would recommed the 7900gtx 512MB its a little more money but i think that the xtra 256megs work beautifully with that setup, i got one myself and im really liking what it can do.

oh dang I almost forgot. I was thinking about also getting a sound card to go with the good graphics, you know, give it that reality feel. Any suggestions on that?

I'd say go for the Seasonic s12-600 over the silverstone. It's more stable.

audigy 2 zs is good....but if you're going for best....the x-fi is great. Get whichever one you can afford.
