Bought Dual Core

Thread Starter
Well, I came across an offer I couldn't refuse. I just bought a brand new AMD 3800 Dual Core for $250. I know, I know...alot of you are telline me NO! NO! NO!.........I was going to buy a 3700 as some of you suggested, but I came across this deal and went for it....

Okay, now that I have this processor, does anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, or secrets that I should know about? Does this CPU overclock pretty well? Is there anything I should know before I install this puppy? I am upgrading from the 3200, so I'm hoping for a noticeable difference...

Thanks guys......

It is a nice processor and overclocks decently. You would have been better served with an Opteron 165 or 170, but for $250 that is a great buy. Might not show results above the 3700+ in most applications right now, but as applications evolve you will be glad you have a dual-core.
