My suggestion, RMA the mobo and GPU, then sell mobo, cpu, gpu, and maybe even the psu. After that, save up for the Conroe...those things will be beasts. You'll be very happy if you wait for them.

Was the card plugged into a molex connector? If that came lose then the card would have to draw all its power from the mobo and it would have overloaded the AGP slot.

I don't think so... Based on my experiences with not plugging in an AGP card that needs a molex, it just puts a message on the screen telling you to plug it in.

They were both plugged in ok (2 molex connectors ), i had trouble getting them out lol.
