Ocing trouble with SATA drive

Thread Starter
I'm pretty new to overclocking, but I've read lots of stuff about it, and so Im pretty confident about it, but one thing that keeps happening to me, is when I push my FSB past 220 MHz, my comp wont boot, it doesn't recognize my Maxtor Diamond Max, 300 gig SATA HDD.
I don't know if this is a common thing with SATA drives, or maxtor drives, but I can't find any answers for this anywhere, or maybe it's something else of my computer that's messing up and thats the error that I get, I dont know, help!

I have an ASUS A8N-MX mobo, an Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego, Kingston Hyper-X 512 MBx2 ram, a Maxtor Diamondmax 10 300 gig, SATA HDD.

Any help would be apprectiated, thanks.

Yeah, I just updated my siggy, my mobo doesnt seem to have an option to up any voltages But, I contacted ASUS and he said "The voltages will automatically adjust depending on system load"
so, I dont know if thats good enough tho.

Welll looking over you Manual I see that you there is little support for these.
I believe when you reach that point is because your chipset needs more volt to perform. Or it could that you maxtor just sucks.(Just joking Had alots of problems with maxtor.)

OK, Update!
I just went out and bought a new harddrive, the
ASRock 939Dual-SATA2, So, Im gonna put that in tonight, then we'll see where we are after getting everything up and running, and, if my results aren't satisfactory, I'll take it back and get a new one, haha.
