Having troubles getting my G.Skill DDR500 passed 250mhz

Thread Starter
Well I bought some of this G.Skill. I have been having problems getting it passed 254 MHz. When ever I reach that mark i start getting errors in mem test. I have tried setting the voltage from 2.6 to 2.7 and 2.8. But in made no difference. I have been running stalk timings of 3-4-4-8. I can boot it at 280 no problem but it will close out of games after a short time playing them for a few minutes.

One a side note when I have it at stalk settings I can play all my games on the highest possible settings with no hiccups and no lagg. Like BF2, Far Cry, Quake 4 Demo, F.E.A.R. Demo, Half Life 2 Demo, and Doom 3.

Thanks for the help.

if anything, all you need is do is loop test 5 or 8 in memtest or run SuperPi 32M test. memtest isnt always the best test though. my mem passes memtest @ 285, but can pi 32m @ 290 MHz.
