I would pay around $700, or $800, just because there is no permenant OS on it, and no monitor, no keyboard, no mouse, no speakers, and it is used (I am guessing).

You guys are way under rating that machine....

It's worth atleast $1200 .. ATLEAST. If I were you, put it up on eBay and definitley don't sell it here. Everyone here looks for cheap stuff, hence they appraise it very low. You have to find suckers if you're looking for cash.

How used is it? 7800gt is $250 used, the processor, $350 used, the case.. if in good condition, $80 used, and then it's all put together and ready to be used, oh and the RAM.. $150 used.. prob. The hard drives, cd drives, etc etc.. It's definitley worth over $1200 IMO.

Could sell it piece by piece, would get more on the forums. As for the whole computer, eBay will get you the most

You need to look at what you say about the members of this site. That statement is distasteful at best and confrontive at worst.

I would say that this system would go at the moment for ~$1,000.00 at this site. Remember that this system better be sold quickly as the next releases will downgrade the selling price phenomenally.

When Conroe comes out this system will be worth less than $1,000.00. When the new Video architectures are released in 3 - 4 months then the 7800GT will be worth quite a bit less.

With such a system, it is a buyers market, not a sellers market. This is because one can often find a very good deal at a lower price. E-Bay is the place to try to sell such a package if you are looking for a price such as KoSoVaR is stating. I doubt if you will find it here as this is a site where prices are set by technology, not the marketplace.

This is an overclocker’s forum. We know how (older) technologies pricing lowers with new releases. We know the slating of those new releases and thus can make a far more informed decision on what something is worth in reality.

E-bay has many of the uninformed masses who can and will pay more than something is technologically worth. So yes, underrated when considering what it is worth at the retail outlet but NOT underrated when considering it at the technological release value.
