The Xbox 360 is marginally better on a SD television. Get the regular Xbox.

Oblivion for Xbox 360 = £50 = $100 USD?

Thats complete **** in my opinion. They canmt seriously expect people to pay that much for games. Get the normal Xbox just because the 360 is stupidly priced.

Ill be keeping my PS2 for a while yet (Playstation fo life yo!)

Huh? Oblivion is $60 for 360, or is it $100 US in the UK?

It's $60 USD. 50 GBP might translate to $100 USD due to the weak dollar, but that wouldn't matter unless you bought it in GB with the intent of bringing it back to the US.

Honestly man... go with the xbox the functions and possibilities are really endless. Ive had mine for couple of years now and ive never stopped playing it. Recently i put in a 300gig hdd and a chip.... Needless to say that im in love with it again. Ppl are working on cracking the 360... but itll still be a while for this to happen. But the xbox can be customized in less than a week and there are so many resources to gather info from its not even funny.

Yup, it took the first xbox 9 months to crack. I have hope in the 360.

Other than modding capabilities the 360 has copied alot of stuff from the modding community. I think thats great.

I'd wait for the 360 to become better/bug fixes and also to see if any cracks/mods surface within a few months. Or, I'd look into water cooling

360 definately. The original is good and I still play mine, but think of it like this: You can get a pretty good video card with a couple of games for $200, but why not get the newest tech on the block that future games will support if you have the $400.
