No tangible accomplishments to report sir.
Since I posted pics nada--except lots of PMing and whatnot to get the components...been doing measuring and lpanning and so forth however.
But that is a great link--I bookmarked it for later reference.
BTW I don't care to make the tray from acrylic for various reasons--I have some trays coming that have been salvaged from old cases--sleazy but easy--and I really just want to take the path of least resistance at this point.
No funnel in the plan--just the acrylic top panel I posted a sketch of earlier--with a single 110VAC Dayton 120mm 78cfm fan. I want to start with a simple functional case that I can continuously upgrade (as I suffer from the incurable disorder: tinkeritus extremims
A large square box like Crunch is not exactly ideal for creating a swirling vortex--an octagon or a cylinder would promote that I guess--but that idea is perfectly valid and might well appear in some other incarnation.
Eventually Crunch will feature a top-mounted heatercore to replace the acrylic fan panel with interior push fans and shroud exhausting hot air out the top slots.
Hindered by the lack of a proper shop there is only so much I can do in the way of working with thin gauge steel or aluminum sheet. If possible I would like to make a complete interior shell of metal with lift out trays but that will have to wait until I get better set here at the new home.
For now screwing some salvaged trays to the interior is the big plan.
