Question about Voltmodding my 6200

Thread Starter
I'm thinking about using a pencil to voltmod my Nvidia 6200. (128 MB, AGP, and it has the older NV43 core) Currently, it is overclocked at 450/680 (up from 300/500).

1. What exactly does a volt mod do? Does it increase the clock speed or does it allow me to reach a higher clock speed?
2. If the voltmod goes wrong (using a pencil), how do you undo it? Using an eraser?
3. How important is using a multimeter?

P.S. I've replaced the stock cooling system with a much better all-copper one, so heat isn't too much of a problem.

1)A volt mod doesnt OC for you, but if u get artifacts at say 400MHz then when you voltmod it makes it mor stable and will allow a higher OC.
2)Yes i believe you just use a pencil eraser(not too sure though).
3)I guess if you want the most accurate reading of the voltage use one, but if you are happy with whatever software you use then go with that.

Uh oh. Big problem. I checked the back of my card and looks different from the 6200 AGP Volt Mod guide I'm using. It's probably because I'm using a card made by a different manufacturer. So how do I find the spot I'm supposed to color in with my pencil? Should I post some pictures?
