Need help badly.

Thread Starter
Hi there. This is my 2nd rig.

Ok, for some reason, when I turn on my pc, the red loading light comes on but the green light does not and the monitor stays blank.

I checked the front panel connectors and if anything it's made it worse. I checked in manual and everything is where it should be.

Any suggestions welcome.... please.

(I'm on this forum through a mates computer because I can't even get mine to turn on. I have a Photon Motherboard.)

Does anything turn on? for example any of the fans.

If not try jumping the part where the power switch is connected to your motherboard by touching both pins with a metal object simutaneously.

If they do turn on try resetting cmos, by turning power supply off or unplugging PC from the wall and then removing the circular battery from motherboard for around ten seconds.

If resetting cmos doesnt work it may be a problem with graphics, do you use onboard graphics or a seperate graphics card.

If you can get hold of another graphics card try that in your PC.

All fans work and everything turns on.

I use a seperate graphics card and I swapped it with a diff one and tried. No difference.

I'll test that motherboard battery thing and keep you posted. Thanks!

Ok now when I turn it on, still nothing happens but I get a beep.

The noise goes like this.

Beep, pause, beep, pause continuasly.

Any ideas?

(Removing the battery from motherboard and putting it back didn't do anything)

count the # of beeps...check out the manufacturers website or the mbob manual to see if they have beep codes stating what a certain # of beeps means
