How to Oc an OC'd Card

Thread Starter
My card, a 6200 Nvidia AGP 256... card is OC'd from 350 to 375 clock. MY computer says it can take that to 419, but when i set everything, it freezes or glitches. whatever. it doesnt let me, its acting as if thats the most it can go when in reality it can go further. I want these extra 45 mhz (375-419, and 400-494) because thats something that will make my good/ok graphics in oblivion run without some of the lags that i get once in a while.
plz help

Obviously it CAN'T take it to 419. Try something lower...overclock yourself, forget automatic and detect best settings and whatnot.

i dont think where im taking it is the problem. I tried it myself, and then did the recomendation to see if i was doing it correctly. I tried incriments of 5, and even when I change it a bit, it busts out. I have a BFG card, and i tried the Nvidia graphics thing, Riva, and one other thing. The result the same: When I change it whether it is 1, 5, 10, etc. it busts up.

i think something is wrong with my configurations. I meen how does ur pc act when u oc? I have "change settings after startup" selected (tried with and witout) and still nothing. As I said, my card is already oc'd i think its a software problem, can anyone have some ideas? I really want oblivion to get rid of the few lags it has on medium quality settings. PLZ! SAVE MY GAME!

I should be doing everything right. I meen if I can get it to 400 core clock (which it should, and many people with the same card have done), it would be an equivilent to a 6600/6800 unclocked. So... why doesn't it work? Or do I press ok, and let it sit for an hour?

What if the problem is in my drivers. I havent changed drivers since I got the card. All i did was install the OC programs, and try and run them. Is that correct?

Some lower cards just wont OC, thats it man. Oh, and BFG doesnt like people OCing their Cards so they might have put a lock on the card.

When I overclock? Well, it does what you expect. It pwns the crap outta stock! lmao.
I don't know what's wrong with your card though...I've never heard of that before. Did you try ATITool? It's a good one, and easy to use...I dono man...that is messed up.

Update your drivers! 84.21 man...
