Nope. and if any gain would happen it would be neglible. as both chips have enough power to provide for that graphics card.

as both CPU's are based upon the same architecture and those 2 extra core's wont make a world of difference for that GPU. however in games that are more effeciently multi threaded u may see a gain.

Overll ide stick with that E5300 as it has been known to overclock better then the Q6600 and a higherclocked dual can beat out a slower clocked quad.

I would say yes, im running an e6600 at 3.2ghz, and there are still times when my cpu is holding me back.
