When you are using Riva tuner; you can over ride the clock frequency by Clicking on POWER USER TAB, scroll down until you find NVIDIA \\ Over clocking; extend the list until you see DISABLE INTERNAL CLOCK TEST; then press RIGHT CLICK and set the value to 0. “ If 0 value don’t work just set it to 1â€

Then i ran a video stress test (from CS:S) for it an got a an avg. of 113fps on 1280x1024. my question is, is it safe to push it up to 400mhz? or 445? How much of an improvement is 445mhz compared to 325mhz?

(I'm NOT gonna buy an aftermarket cooler like the vf900 because i hear its a pain in the ass to install +i dont have a static pad!)
Why would you have your 7800 lower than factory? 400 is what nVidia set as the stock minimum. Most cards came shipped 425 to 470. You should easily be able to do 450 and maybe higher. Download ATiTool and use the find max core and then do find max mem. That will tell you your maximum stable OC and then run the artifact test and see how hot it gets and if it has artifacts.

The Artic Cooling NV5R3 is easy to install and I have never used a static pad. Static pad? Static pad? We dont need no steeeenkin staic pad!

What i did was install the coolbits tool, then i clicked on core clock frequencies. THE DEFAULT WAS SET TO 275MHz core an 1.0 GHz mem. (it also said it was on "Standard 2D Mode"), So what i decided to do turn it on to "Performance 3D" setting an it went up to 400Mhz an 1.12ghz. now its on 420 mhz. It's been running CS:S on 1600x1200 w/ 98 fps but im thinking about getting Ballistix 2 gig kit PC2-5300, so that will proly boost the fps. right now i only have 1Gig. PC-4300 of ram, which isn't bad but i could use the upgrade.
