I wasn't aware that XFX offered a Step Up program.

bingo.

Havn't read all of thread but this is my two sense.

The 7900GT is a great card, if you can afford it get it. If not, you will not be dissapointed with the 7600GT.

There is a distance difference between FPS and smoothness. Something can have 200+FPS and be very choppy. The 7900GT with 2GB of memory and a good processor will give you the ultamate smoothness for less than an arm and a leg.

If you volt mod a 7900gt it will beat 2x7600GTs in SLI. A properly volt modded 7900GT will have about the performance of a 7900GTX at stock. I would definately get the 7900GT especially if you are planning on playing games like FEAR and Oblivion at high resolution. My X850XT is still a good card and about equal to a 7600GT and it simply cannot play the newest games like FEAR and Oblivion at 1280x1024 with most settings on high with acceptable framerate.
