Honestly, am I the only one who hates Nvidia's naming scheme? It all went fine up untill the 9000 series.
Then
100-series is only low end OEM cards
200-series has both low end OEM cards, and low end regular cards, the series is also one big bowl of different chips 92b, 94b, GT216, GT218,GT220A/B
300-series as with 100 there's only low end OEM cards and a mix of different chips
400 series is as it should be, no rebranding and every market covered under one name
So everyone thinks they got it now, 500 series will be OEM, 600 series will be performance
Nvidia makes an evil laugh and shouts WRONG in your face because now apparently they'll release a single card in the 500 series.. based on the 400 series architecture from the looks of it. So what are they going to fill the rest of the segment with? 400 cards rebranded as 500? Why can't they just name it 485 or 490 and be happy with it?
