With the latest Nvidia drivers, the GTX 470 is actually equal or faster than the 5870. Either way, it seems like we'll have to wait till the 69xx cards to see a real improvement.

All I know is this :

it goes 480>470>5870>6870

The 6870 is supposed to replace the 5770.

I cant imagine what the 6900 will bring...

I also cant imagine what ATI was thinking... releasing cards that can't meet the older cards!?!?!

I don't know why they're changing up the numbers if the 6870 competes with the 5770. It's just annoying to think about.
