DFI is known for being an "enthusiasts" board. With that out there, you can be sure that they receive a lot of modified equipment attempting to be RMA'd. DFI is tougher on RMAs than nearly any other company and I was told that is the reasoning that Newegg.com will not RMA anything from DFI. If it were me, I'd do my best to remove the AS5 that you put on and see if you can find some similar paste to what they use. Good luck!
