Well heres a nice system i made, its a little bit over my budget after taxes but it should be nice. Its not going to be playing any games till i get a new graphics card but aww well.
DVD RW drive
Processor (Intel Pentium D 805)
Case with power supply (i know stock power supply)
Harddrive (160 gb maxtor)
2x this ram.
Motherboard.

Well, at least it comes with an integrated x300, im pretty sure that these are the best integrated video cards you can get, except for maybe the nvidea 6100, and i think they have a 6600 intigrated card.

Some suggestions:

Intel Pentium D 805 2.66GHZ Dual Core EM64T LGA775 533FSB 2X1MB XD Processor Retail Box (ONE SALE FOR $149.99 CAD)
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17710

How about this RAM?
OCZ VALUE SERIES PC2-4200 1GB 2X512MB DDR2-533 CL4-4-4-8 240PIN DIMM DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY KIT ($113.68 CAD)
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=14995

With your other stuff, $ 572.68 CAD. Not too bad

And, the 'stock' PSU with the Antec case is likely to be pretty decent.

Good luck

you'll love the pentium D 805 its a great overclocker and a great performer. You will most certainly regret not having a video card. Onboard will bother you. If you can maybe skimp a little bit on the ram for the time being and get a decent pci-e graphics card.

Get decent RAM for now.. maybe you have some more money in a few months to add a vid card. I think for the money, and Intel, it's about as good as it gets.

the pentium d 805 is a great processor. for a video card do not go with onboard because it is not good and it will limit your overclock because when you overclock you are also raising the memory speed of your onboard video and if it gets too hot it will burn
post #20 of 27
If this is the budget, I think onboard is fine for now... you can add a Video card later, and hold off on overclocking until then. If you add a video card and want to stay within budget, you have to make too many offers
