Is that meant to be the batch number - 3027A391? It looks like the same with a slight rearrangement and added spacings.

AFAIK the silicon for the CPU's is fabricated in sealed rooms untouched by human flesh to avoid any contamination. The lower the level of contamination the better the performance. Fabrication of cpu silicon is done in "batches". Thus we get "batch numbers" There can be "good" batches and "bad" batches. As long as a batch can run at the standard speed it is considered fit for sale. Obviously overclockers are very interested in good batches because they can achieve better overclocks.

I sure hope that was the question.

but can you tell me what is the meaning of this numbers
302 A 7 39 1
If i'm not wrong its the following:

1st letter or digit = plant code (Malay)
0 = San Jose, Costa Rica
1 = Cavite, Philippines
3 = .............., Costa Rica
6 = Chandler, Arizona
7 = .........., Philippines
8 = Leixlip, Ireland
9 = Penang, Malaysia
L = ............, Malaysia
Q = ..........., Malaysia
R = Manila, Philippines
Y = Leixlip, Ireland

2nd digit = Year of production (2001)

3rd & 4th digits = week (49th week )

5th - 8th digits= lot number

10th - 13th digits = serialization code

Your batch nr is: 3027A391

3= Costa Rica,
0= 2010
27= 27th week
A391= Lot Nr

Could you post ur settings for that clock? 4.2Ghz on 1.25v is pretty nice.

Thnx

I also have noticed something strange here, i can get a 24/7 stable clock at: 192x21 (4032Mhz) and 175x23 (4025Mhz) with all other settings the same (see Page 10 for my settings), but changing to 179x23 (4117) will result in BSOD after 1 min of Prime95.

It was to my understanding that raising the blck will require a higher Vcore, QPI/vtt and ioh, but that was not the case here.
