I have troubles passing 200 bclk on my board, 4.588 is best I could post at for a suicide run. Under water, rad out the window in winter etc, never made a difference.

I've had no trouble posting with a bclk of 205. I've gotten as far as the Windows boot up screen and the login prompt on some occasions at 4.7Ghz. I had HT off and around 1.55v vcore.

I checked HWBot for CPU frequency rankings on air for my motherboard, and thats what came up.

This validation is from the guy at the top - jeremiaspc

So a bclk of 213 is probably achievable - its most likely my voltages that are the issue. That and that everyone else is validating with only a single stick of RAM. I have full memory banks - all 24GB. I'm pretty certain thats not making anything easier for me.

Try turning PCI-E frequency up to get more BCLK thumb.gif

I need some OC'ing help with this chip.

I had my current settings at 4ghz @ 1.35 in bios (1.328 in cpu-z) and my VTT at 1.295.

That worked for several months, but recently I got a BSOD x101 stating for more Vcore.

I figured I could use this opportunity to push 4.2 since people here seem to have no trouble doing it. However, I simply cannot get it stable.

Specs are as follows:

200x21
vcore: 1.4125 (barely gets into windows, BSOD if anything load bearing happens)
VTT: 1.4
ioh/ich: 1.2
dram: 1.55
LLC level 1

Gigabyte GA-x58a-UD3r board.
Uncore is 2x DRAM

Suggestions are appreciated.

1.88 as well. I'd like a 24/7 stable OC. Gigabyte only has two settings, LLC 1 and 2. 1 is where it vdroops less, and 2 is where it actually increases vcore when the load hits.

I'm wondering if my board is having a problem, but not sure how to test it without having another one on hand.

I mean if you can get 4.6 @ 1.45 i shouldn't need the same settings for a mere 4.2.....

Your board might be having issues. Try LLC2 and see if it still crashes.

Experiencing quite high temps with Silver Arrow SB-E vCore 1.275..
Or are these normal temps for this cpu? Room temp around 25-29celsius...

And there is that odd almost 10c temp difference between cores...
