What to get now and what to save for later

Thread Starter
Ive read a lot of threads in these forums and I encounter a lot of new stuff like the Conroe, am2 and DX10. I want a new computer now with a good video card cause I never got a performance video card before. Should I just stick to my curreny PC and wait for new stuff to come out like DX10 Video Cards and the new processors as well? I'm not really rich so maybe I can't get the new stuff anyways. What do you guys think?

Do you think I can get something now that I can still use when DX10 comes out? Cause i'd hate to get a high end DX9 card that's not gonna on its full potential on DX10.

Thanks

There are rumors swirling that the higher end DX9 cards will be able to run DX10 with a BIOS update....but that has yet to be seen, and i doubt it highly. If ou can wait, i most definitely would...at least to see how the AM2 and conroe perform against each other. Then you shlould make your decision....also...if you buy a PCI-e board, you can look on our for-sale thread for a decentGPU....Then upgrade when DX10 Comes out. Honestly..i think that is your best bet

ya wait it out a bit unless you are really itching. It does seem to be so up in the air when all the new tech will hit the stores and how close to each other they will be.
