X800GTO or X1800XT? - Page 3

X1800 XT 512mb is faster then a 7900 GT, has more memory, and is cheaper/same price, definetly the better buy.

Theres also the ATI advantage of better drivers, though the 7900 GT would have to get the nod for less pwoer consumption, though its stock cooler reminds me of a 9600 HSF.

I know this is a little late in the posting, but if at all possible, you may want to wait a little bit, as ATI should be releasing the X1900GT as we speak. MSRP is $249, so it's definately for the budget minded gamer seeking a BIG gun.

X1900 GT is not gonna to be a retail card, though a few may trickle into the retail segment.

Its ment to replace the X800 SE from a few years back, and put into prebuilt OEM systems, and they're only making a few of them.

Did you tamper with the cards BIOs at all? This can make some X800 cards appear as an X800 SE to the driver.

Might be that you have an X800 SE, it had 8 pipelines much like an X800 GT, and it looks like you got a nice OC on it too.

Is this a real question? Go for the x1800xt of course its just a generation newer then the x800 and it has hdcp support which is usefull with blu-ray and windows vista. Did i forgot to mention FSAA with HDR? This card rocks! You will be good to go for a long time.
