Why is my memory showing as single channel ??

Thread Starter
Hi Guys,

I have been attempting to tweek my memory settings a bit, and have noticed that it is showing as single channel, see below.

The memory I have is G.Skill ff 4800, and is running at 225mhz. seems rather low, and think this single channel stuff might have something to do with it.

The A64 tweaker settings are as below.

any advice will be more than welcome

Cheers Guys

Did you try different slots? Normally, dual channel will work if you put the sticks in slots that have the same color (mine has 2 blue and 2 black slots). For some MoBo's there will be an open slot between the two sticks (like in my case) and for some they will be next to each other. Check your MoBo manual for this also.

Thanks guys,

Got it registering as Dual channel now, but with the HTT at 270 x 10, auto volts it will only run at 333, trying 400 reboots randomly.

Using an A8N-SLI, any ideas, how fast can I get this memory ??

Thanks all again.

Thanks Guys,

It is now working fine and dandy, did a few other things last night, and is now showing in CPU-Z as running at 286mhz, but looking at the posting above, I should be able to get tighter timings now its working, so hoping for higher.

My Super PI Mod time dropped from 35 to just over 30. Had her running at 2900 last night, Prime95 ran no worries, Super Pi Ran, but playing Oblivion, it rebooted the PC after about 2 hours.

Also did a 3DMarks06 and scored 5600 (ish), so a bit of improvement.

Thanks again for all the help guys.
