worth it to SLI 7900GTX . . . ???

Is it worth the money to get two of these uber cards in SLI or can you pretty much run everything max with just one and 2GB of ram?

unless your running a 30" LCD there is no need to run SLi'd 7900gtx's. One will run everygame out there on max, at least until the DX10 cards come out.

That card will Eat up all games at max setting. Its just a waste getting SLI for that thing. X1900XTX is the best card out there though, but sadly a poorly developed Crossfire limits its dual card setup. If you want the king of gfx cards get the x1900xtx, its 48 shaders will keep it more futureproof too, because of the increased usage of shaders in newer games.

well for your question

no dont get 2 in sli its definitely not worth it like evolutionsentra said "unless you have a 30 inch lcd" one will do you excellent for all games out there.

just a suggestion,

why not get a 7900gt and oc the hell out of it? because those cards will pretty much play everything out there on max with 2gb of ram.
and then save the extra money for a dx10 card?

I cant get Oblivion on all max to stay above 20-25fps :/

I do only have 1Gb of RAM though. Im now running it with HDR/bloom OFF and AA off, 1024x800 (instead of 1200x1000 looks ok though)

Gonna start a thread on this
