cant say no but my ram sux, it has hynix chips hard to overclock so i run them on a divider.

I am not sure if your 2.96GHz is stable, but it would be foolish to invest money in something, especially considering it might not very well break that [sarcasm]oh so magical 3.0GHz barrier[/sarcasm]. It appears you have a great cpu, and should just enjoy it.
lol well its not the 3ghz my issue. My issue is opty is for servers not gaming :S or iam wrong. Oh yes 2.96 prime stable for 10 houres and crashes in games :S.

You're using the Big Typhoon on it right?
Water it, maybe it will grow a little more.
Yeah seems water another solution but to expensive.

The only Sandy I've seen over 3.02 is thaWaxShop and he's on water I think(might be wrong), but he also had to remove the IHS. All the other Sandies have only got to 2.90-2.97 and the best stepping seems to be KACAE. I bet with some very fine tweaking you could get 3.0 since your not that far off right now. And even if you can't thats fine. Theres almost no difference in benchmarks even compared to 2.97 and 3.0. I'll show some old test if you want me to dig them up. I'd just enjoy that 2.96 opty, its a fine overclock.
No dont worry about it, but as said 2.96ghz prime stable 10 houres and crashes in a game .
yeah yeah...

I don't mean to be picky or anything... but I see some spelling issues here

No offense

RAM upgrade would be my best bet.

If its for a server. Get better RAM, and it would do better.
