Looking for some routers

Thread Starter
I'm looking for some Cisco 2500 and 2600 series routers and some Catalyst 1900 series switches. Anybody know where to get some cheap besides ebay? i am building a Cisco lab in my office, its lookin pretty sweet. Thanks for the help.

Do you mean Full on Cisco Routers or do you mean Cisco Switches, Also Linksys is a Division of Cisco. To be honest Ebay is going to be your best bet either way im not sure if you can really get this kind of Equipment cheap anywhere else.

i'm talking full cisco routers, not linksys. linksys = broadband router. i want like cisco 2600+ routers and catalyst 1900+ switches. full network management. and the whole point of my lab is donation equipment because i'm going to kind of be like "passing on the torch" to the next person that wants to learn, or else give free access to whoever needs some help with getting their CCNA. next resort is ebay, or trying to ask companies to give me all of their networking equipment that they just have lying around.

i've already went through the net academy. that thing is a piece of cake. but cisco actually donates that hardware to schools kinda, like a free lease. but once the schools get done w/ the hardware they have to return it. They sell the cisco labs for a hefty piece of change, or you can find companies that upgrade their equipment all the time. i did the latter. i don't have the money to pay for my lab, i just have to get it on a donated basis. right now im' trying to work two big companies for them.

btw vsingh, cisco 2600's don't cost that much on ebay. matter of fact, i got my 2600 for free. i just need a couple more w/ some serial module cards. and if you're only in semester 1 and 2, access lists suck major puckered starfish, just remember that

i got a linksys wrt54gs router and it works perfect for me; you can even mod it into a KIND of a cisco 2600 (still can't take a T1 line thats what i mean):
