Sorry bud, I only just now saw your post!

In my experience, using Steam Mover doesn't make the game any more unstable thumb.gif
And I really do use this a lot!

As of May 2013, I believe steam has a function where you can install a game to a library located on any drive; however, this seems helpful to move games back and forth at will.

I run Beta Steam, and it's had install to another drive for a while smile.gif
But like you say, with Steam Mover we can at will thumb.gif

Hey guys, I've got a question.
I've recently done a clean install of windown on an SSD and as my Steam games take up more than 120GB of space, I only want to put the games I'm currently playing on the SSD, which is what this app seems perfect for!
I've been wondering is it better if I install steam on my SSD or on the bigger HDD??

Has anybody tried this with Microsoft FSX? Particularly those who have high resolution scenery add-on programs such as GEX, UTX, FTX, etc. And what about add-on aircraft? I guess what I'm asking is;

Has anyone ever tried this with FSX and also had high resolution add-on programs, and if so, can they tell me how they did it?
Thanks, Rich

The Steam application itself should be on your SSD.
Makes the program itself load quicker.

The game(s) folder location is up to you and your free space,
but I'm guessing that wasn't what you were getting at.
Obviously, whatever game(s) put on your SSD will load that much faster.

This program is pretty kewl.
Essentially, it's just doing mklink work,
but in an easy, user-friendly interface. smile.gif

I guess nobody has ever tried this program on FSX with all add-ons as I mentioned above. So I'm going to be the 'guinea pig' and try it in the next week or so. I'll post the results.

Cheers, yeah that's what I wanted to know. If I should install the steam app on the ssd and then move my games to the HDD when I don't need them or the other way around.
Thanks for the answer!

Bumping this with a question....

SO once the files have been ported over to the other hard drive, is it safe to just delete the original files? Or is that also done automatically to free up space on the original HD?
