Do you or anyone else have any opinions about the front panel audio jack holes (fill them in?)? I also need watercooling opinions.. should I use green tubing + green dye or green tubing + water or clear tubing + green dye or what? I want that cool green glow that Ive seen in pcs here before.

I need to order that stuff tomorrow night (11/25) along with the rad grill so I need opinions QUICK!!!
Nice. You could get a switch and mount that into the audio jack holes. The switch would either be for LED's, fan speed, pump, or whatever else you could want.

Just ordered 90$ of stuff from performance-pcs. Im broke again, somewhat. I have 40$ left, lol.

This project is breaking me! I bought the radiator grill, 10 ft of 3/8" ID 1/2" OD UV green tubing, 3 120mm yate loon high speed fans w/ green leds, a 2 140mm yate loon high speed fans w/ green leds.

Hope it works out. I was gonna buy different manufacturer fans, but I didnt want the green leds being different colors / dimmer than the other so I just bought them all from the same brand. They will all be hooked up to the fan controller anyway as to not be too loud.

Im going to bed, its almost 5 in the morning. What the heck am I doing up.

I think I figured out a way to make a blank I/O plate and possibly a PCI slot cover.

For the PCI slot cover, I may need someones "help" (not really, they would make the piece lol) on here with more metal working equipment to do it how I want it.. but there are other ways to do it w/o needing help.

We will see...

What about making a whole new nobody plate
just remove the currnt one. Use a old side panel or metal sheet and cut it out.
The pop-Robert it in the place of the old mobo tray hole. Keep the fan hole ect just the io port and pci part. Shuld be just diverted in. n a drill shuldbget him out.

This thread hasnt died, Ive just been crazy busy (still am) doing all kinds of odd jobs helping my parents... fixing all 3 of our cars, cleaning 6-7 yards...

Anyway, I made a blank I/O plate. Somewhat, its a WIP. My order from performance pc's was shipped out and will be here Wednesday.. Im excited to see what the fans look like.

I/o plate cut out

My trusty dremel

Clamped down to hopefully guide me and get straighter cuts.

Plate I made.. its about 1mm too big.. I just sanded it to fit.

Fits.. but how does it fit when the I/o plate is snapped in?

Woot. It fits! I used superglue (yes, more superglue) to hold the plate in.

Looks better than a big hole for sure.

Rectangle LEDs I ordered from eBay!

Installed one to test it out...

Thank god I did, because they are hardly lighting up. I asked the seller before I ordered them if 3V would work, he said yes, but obviously not.

Better view of how dim the LED really is w/ 3v powering it.

Whatever, the search for bright green rectangle leds than WORK on 3v goes on... may just end up using normal 3mm leds. The stuff from performance-pc's should be here tomorrow and I will get to mounting the radiator grill + then as well as installing the fans.. I may even try to make a plate to cover up the PCI slots if I have time. I ordered a piece of 12 x 12 trasnparent green acrylic from mc-master carr and some new cutting wheels for my dremel.. I hate the cheap ones that break and shatter unlike the reinforced wheels. I will order some green LEDs + u channel soon.
