So possibly loosening the GPU Heatsink could fix it....idk i dont have an Xbox
Yeah I saw that. Typically when an xbox breaks, it has alot of play time on it. Mine has never played a game, and has been turned on for less than 5 minutes....

When I turn it on now, error code 0001 which is a power supply issue. This thing is probably fried.. But IDK why? I have a guy whose a electronic engineering genius who I can send it to... he can check some of the more common parts on the board that are known to fail. If its a MOSFET or something of the like, it is fixable.. but if the southbridge chip is fried, its toast.

well, now you see why microsoft suck
xbox 360 is probably the most "fragile" gaming console ever
my friend's xbox 360 red ringed twice after he knocked it over while downloading a movie (meaning when it is placed vertical, and he accidentally kicked it and it fell on its side). finally, the next day, it won't even turn on
luckly, it was in warranty and microsoft replaced it for him, but of course, there was some lying incolved

i used to own a ps2, and that thing is like a brick. no matter how crappy i treat it, it always worked like a charm until the day i sold it. idk about ps3, because i've never owned one or dealt with one

but the point being is that you should probably try this project with some other console. maybe a wii AND ps3 inside one case with water cooling and all that xD
but sorry for your loss. sometimes, one just have to give up

Im too damn stubborn to give up... I dont think Ive ever given up doing anything actually. THIS OF ALL THINGS wont be the first! lol

So guys... I have no idea what happened. Im deciding between sending it off to a guy to look at (10$ shipping, 20$ to "diagnose" + whatever to fix) OR just getting another xbox for 60-70$. Im almost positive this xbox is fixable though... its not like a normal RROD because its never been used! lol

Nah. BTW, I hope you realize your the only one posting on this thread now.. all of my subscribers arent following anymore. lol

Im gonna ship the xbox off to my buddy Thursday and let him look at it. If he can fix it, GREAT, if not.. Im in the market for an xbox. THIS PROJECT IS NOT OVER... Ive done too much work. This really isnt too much of a setback as most of the work was done to the case.. not to the xbox.
