Hi All,

N00b again here. I have an Opty 146 and see all these people telling what the details of the processor are. How do I find this out once I have put it in the PC.

Thanks guys

Thats the best prog for getting CPU/System info.

Alternatively the info tab on 3dMark05 also details systems specs.

OK,

This is a screen from CPU-Z, is this a good one.

People go on about CABNE and CABJE and the week it was made.

Thanks

Im not sure what the E4 revision is but if you are in the mood for removing the CPU heatsink it will be written on the chip.

I tried to find the table listing what each stepping is but cant find the link lol

CABNE are generally believed to be the best stepping optys followed by the CABJE stepping.

CABNE Chips can easily hit 3GHz with the right hardware.

Sorry, but CPU-z will not tell you near the information that you need.

I have not tried this 3dmark 05 that someone mentioned above, but from my understanding nothing will really tell you the stepping, code, and week of your processor, other than taking off your heatsink and reading 3 lines that explain everything.

The only thing that I suppose could tell you would be Everest home,
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181

but i'm not on my home computer so I can't really tell you for sure.

when you on your chip you will need to find something like this CABCE 0516WPMW
CABCE = stepping
0512= week
wpmw= the code
