The phone itself looks very nice, but Windows Mobile is trash and I'm not going to bother giving 7 a chance. I got my HD2 in hopes of Windows Mobile being pretty decent on a phone with such potential, but ended up running Android on it. $170 isn't a deal maker either. I got my HD2 absolutely free and wasn't happy with it due to WM. I don't think it will do very well.

I have a tilt 2 and yes it sucks, but this is something completely different. If you have seen any demos you can see that this is a whole other animal. A snappy one too.

Bleh, I'm reluctant to give it a chance. I'd have to wait for someone I know to get one and let me play with it; sadly pretty much everyone I know is refusing to give WM another chance.

ran wm5, 6, and 6.1 on 4 different models and 11 devices over all. it was cool, very nice to be able to relate almost natively to the os from desktop aplication. it definitely had its issues though, but i saw potential for it. back when i was running winmo i could do things on my phone that other phones are doing now (albeit apps really)

i will be taking a look at it when it comes out, out of interest, because i know nothing about it or even the device as of now. never even seen pictures.

however there is no way im switching off of verizon. posted this from my droid1

you guys hating on windows mobile do realise that windows phone is a completely different thing?

you wont be able to run windows mobile 6.5 and below apps on a windows phone 7.

meh....windows phone 7 needs time to mature.

needs copy/paste, multitasking, customizations in all aspects of the word, maybe even jailbreaking (if itll even be called that).

but it is a good price for anyone considering to buy it imo.

You know WP7 is a completely redesigned OS based on the success of the Zune HD? That's one of the reasons it's called "Windows Phone 7" as opposed to "Windows Mobile."

It's a different product completely. The only thing even marginally comparable to it is the Zune HD. So unless you have experience with one of those, you can't possibly form a substantive opinion on WP7.

Im tired of customizations, trying to find stable cooked roms. I just want to be able to get my xbox live arcade games on my phone and some other apps and ill be fine. It has multitasking just not fast switching. Im sure there will be a program out like total commander for copying and pasting soon.
