Hi, i have a pentium 4 3.6 660 processor.

I do not really want to mess about with anything, i would just liek a motherboard, add all components etc and get it running.

I will not be in need of two graphics card, i will just put the x800 gto card in that i have awaiting at home.

With regards to the psu, will i really need to get a higher voultage?

Thank you

Mark

Both the P5LD2 Deluxe (my pick) and P5ND2 SLI will run the 660 right out of the box! Nothing to worry about. You good to go with this MoBo/CPU and a good Video card (either ATI or nVidia, just know you can't use SLI with two ATI cards, ATI has the crossfire platform for dual graphics).

I highly recommend a new PSU. However, if the one you have is good quality, and has a sufficient 12V rail, then you in pretty good shape with the rig you have. Can you check the power on the 12V rail

Tagan TG480-U01 480W ATX2.0 SLi Compliant Silent PSU (CA-000-TG)

Enermax Liberty 500W ELT500AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant

OCZ PowerStream 600w ATX2 Power Supply (CA-015-OC)

My personal choice would be the latter two but it depends on how much you want to spend.

The PSU is probably one of the most influential components of any system and should not be scrimpted upon.

Tell us your budget and we an suggest accordingly

Hope that helps

Edit: if you dont intend on overclocking, that PSU would prob do the job. I doubt it would if you start increasing voltages tho

Yes, let us know how much you have available. The point about the power supple is that it is possible it will be up to the task, but there is a higher risk of failure. Remember Murphy's Law: If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong (at the most inopportune time)

In addition to MjrTom's excellent picks, I would suggest this one:

YES they are all DDR2 But get the ones that comply with your motherboard as i dont know how fast Memory your motherboard can handle. So you need to check this out.

Read the manual of your motherboard. Look for the maximum speed supported (DDR2 800 , DDR2 667, or DDR2 533). Your best pick is to select the set that has the same specifications. If you can afford, do yourself a favor and get a 2GB set.

Good luck
