Actually, the 3700+ outperforms the 148 (both are 2.2Ghz with 1MB cache) because the San Diego has a better memory controller than the Opterons do. Go with the San Diego, mine went to 3GHz easy, still working on stability, but I'm still getting to know my LanParty Ultra-d.

Ummm... your specs say that you have a 3700+ Venice... but there's no such thing... O.o

I've got BH-5 running at DDR498 with 2-2-2-5 timings.
haha i like that 3700+ Venice. I got to 2.9 at pretty much stock voltage but only prime95 for 4 hours. Got it at 2.97 @ 1.48 for 16 hours though in the past. I'd go with the Sandy. The Opty 14_'s haven't been overclocking they were in the past. Plus even then they required more voltage than what the Sandy's require now. I thought the Opty's had a better memory controller since their more of a server processor.

OFF Topic: Namrac have you tried settings the timmings to 1.5-2-2-0? or 1.5-2-0-2? I couldn't get the last one.

I had 2-2-2-0 at around 225, but loosened them when I pushed it farther because I started getting errors in MemTest.
