Limewire continues to delete itself??

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I put this in the right section, but it's the closest I found. My problem is that I will download Limewire, run it & get songs no problem. But, if i shutdown my comp, the next time I start it back up, the icon will be there, but windows is unable to locate it when I click on either the shortcut or the start menu icon. This has happened OVER 6-8 times already, lol. (FILE NOT FOUND) I'm lost, please help. Thanks, Brent

frostwire? does it come with all the super great adware and spyware that limewire does? it deletes it self because of added adware it installed with itself. i had a fresh windows install and then installed limewire then search and destroy and it found 113 infections on a 1hour old install.

Another reason not to use P2P.

unless you have a rig built just for that. i dont even activate windows on it anymore because it gets killed long before the 30 days are up.

I havent had problems with Limewire and spyware. Bearshare, on the other had, has TONS. You might want to check and see if antivirus or antispyware software is removing it.

You should really get some security software online before you go to spyware-laden sites or programs. Might save you some trouble. I used Limewire once and will never use it again. It didn't have the album I was looking for. (A very hard to find album by a Norwegian alternative band that can only really be found on eBay when you're lucky.)

Just dont use P2P programs is a good Rule lol. Limewire i think is actually getting a little old like all the rest. Plus i dont know what Limewrie you have because it doesnt have adware and spyware with it.

I use Limewire and haven't had any problems with adware or spyware, however Limewire itself can sometimes be unstable when I run it.

Ok, well I actually started this thread for a friend of mine. It's his comp thats having the problem. I've used Limewire for about 8 months now, and I use Avast for my antivirus, Ad-aware & spybot for my ad/spyware. Mine has never done this. I have him set-up with the same virus/ad/spy programs. I will check to see if Limewire is being removed because of these programs. Any other opinions and ideas are welcome, thanks again, Brent
